Newly added 4K Cropping cuts out Full-HD images from 4K footage using only the camcorder. It allows effects to be added to a recorded video, such as zooming, panning, tracking and stabilising. The edited video is saved in Full-HD format. This function is especially appreciated by those who want to create high-quality Full-HD videos.
The high-performance Leica Dicomar lens has passed the stringent inspection standards of Leica Camera AG, allowing it to produce the distinctive nuances and subtle shading that Leica lenses are renowned for. Increasing the readout speed with the 1/2.3" BSI Sensor has made it possible to handle large-volume 4K data. And the Crystal Engine 4K, a high-speed LSI, processes this massive volume of data quickly and accurately.
Using Wi-Fi, it is possible to link to as many as three smartphones and simultaneously record up to two of them as sub-windows. The two sub-window images can be interchanged, and their display positions can be switched. This enables shooting from a variety of angles and viewpoints, to capture a level of emotional impact that simply isn't possible with a single camera.
Enjoy crisper, clearer videos thanks to the HDR Movie function. It combines two images taken with different exposures to suppress blown highlights and blocked shadows. Even in difficult shooting situations, such as backlighting, you can easily capture natural videos with excellent gradation. A dedicated HDR button enables quick mode changes when necessary.
